The Southern District police (ice. Lögreglan á Suðurlandi) has police stations at Selfoss, Vík and Höfn and police guard posts (ice. lögregluvarðstöð) at Vík and Kirkjubæjarklaustur. Detectives are placed at Selfoss and Höfn, but statements can be made at all these locations. Here we are using the police station in Selfoss as an example.
